EditorialOverview
lnp2pBot is a Telegram-based, peer-to-peer exchange built exclusively for the Lightning Network. Launched as an open-source project, it strips away every conventional onboarding friction: there are no accounts, no email fields, and no identity verification workflows. Users simply open a chat with @lnp2pBot, browse or publish offers denominated in their local fiat currency, and settle trades through Lightning hold invoices that lock sats in escrow until both parties confirm payment. The entire experience lives inside Telegram, making it one of the most accessible no-KYC Bitcoin services for mobile-first users who value speed and simplicity.
The bot supports a wide range of fiat payment rails—bank transfers, mobile money, and cash handoffs—because settlement occurs outside the bot itself. What lnp2pBot actually orchestrates is the Bitcoin side: creating the offer, locking collateral, and releasing sats once the fiat leg is confirmed. This architecture keeps the operator uninvolved in payment disputes while still providing a trust-minimized escrow layer through Lightning's native hold invoice mechanism.
Privacy & KYC
lnp2pBot operates at KYC tier L0 — Trustless, meaning no personal data is collected at any stage. The bot does not require an email address, phone number verification, or government ID. Because interaction happens through Telegram, the only persistent identifier is the user's Telegram handle, which can be pseudonymous. The service explicitly states it will never ask for personal data, and its open-source codebase allows privacy researchers to verify that claim independently.
- No IP logging: The bot does not track or store IP addresses.
- No account creation: There is no user database of credentials to breach.
- Pseudonymous by default: Telegram usernames provide operational separation from real-world identity.
- Open-source auditability: Anyone can inspect how data flows—or doesn't—through the bot.
For privacy-conscious users in restrictive jurisdictions or those simply exercising financial autonomy, this model represents close to the theoretical maximum of convenience-anonymity tradeoffs available in a functional P2P marketplace.
Supported assets & payments
lnp2pBot is strictly a Bitcoin-on-Lightning venue. Base-chain Bitcoin is not supported directly; users must have or obtain a Lightning-compatible wallet to receive or send sats. The bot does not custody stablecoins or altcoins, which keeps the architecture simple and reduces regulatory attack surface.
Fiat flexibility is where lnp2pBot excels. Because traders arrange fiat settlement bilaterally, virtually any local currency and payment method can be used: Venezuelan bolívares via bank transfer, Colombian pesos through Nequi, European SEPA transfers, or even in-person cash exchanges. The bot's community model lets users join or create geographically focused channels, surfacing liquidity for niche currency pairs that centralized exchanges often ignore. A live order dashboard at market.lnp2pbot.com displays current bids and asks across all active communities.
Security & custody
lnp2pBot is non-custodial by design. The bot never takes possession of user funds. Instead, it leverages Lightning hold invoices: when a seller accepts a trade, their sats are locked in a conditional payment that cannot be claimed by the buyer until the seller confirms receipt of fiat. If a dispute arises or a party abandons the trade, the hold invoice expires and sats return to the original owner. This eliminates counterparty risk without requiring a trusted third-party custodian.
The open-source nature of the project further hardens security posture. Independent developers can review the escrow logic, run their own bot instances, or contribute patches. There is no single corporate server farm to seize or compel. That said, users must still practice good operational security: verifying Telegram usernames to avoid impostor bots, using reputable Lightning wallets, and settling fiat through reversible payment methods with appropriate caution.
Who it's for — verdict
lnp2pBot earns its 8/10 overall score by delivering exactly what privacy advocates need: a functional, no-KYC Bitcoin marketplace with minimal technical barriers. Its 85/100 privacy score and 83/100 trust score reflect the strength of its non-custodial escrow, open-source transparency, and refusal to collect identity data. The tradeoffs are real—Lightning-only liquidity, Telegram dependency, and the inherent risks of P2P fiat settlement—but for users who prioritize anonymity over institutional polish, these are acceptable compromises.
We recommend lnp2pBot for activists, journalists, unbanked individuals in emerging markets, and anyone seeking to reestablish the peer-to-peer nature of Bitcoin without surrendering personal information to a centralized exchange. It is less suited to traders needing deep order books, advanced charting, or altcoin exposure. As of 2026, it remains one of the most credible and actively maintained no-KYC Lightning trading tools available.

★ 5/5 · 4 ratingsEs el mejor P2P que he utilizado, llevo usándolo ya 3 años consecutivos. Y la verdad, para mi ha sido una herramienta bastante valiosa tanto para comprar, como para vender.
I've been using this service since 2021 and it is the best, why this is having this low score? Robosats is a copycat of this project so why @lnp2pBot is not "Mature service", "Escrow available" and "Verify"?
I have used lnp2pbot extensively, to exchange BTC for VES (Venezuelan Bolivares), never without any significant problem to the platform as such. I have never encountered any scammers and when I have had technical problems, they have a great support community in a Telegram group.
Super handy bot if you're into Lightning and want to trade BTC without the KYC hassle. Works right inside Telegram, fast and surprisingly easy to use. Perfect for quick, private swaps with locals.
