EditorialOverview
PegasusSwap positions itself as a barebones, privacy-first exchange for users who refuse to hand over personal documents. The platform strips away every friction point that typically exposes identity: no registration forms, no email collection, no JavaScript execution, and no custody of user funds beyond the atomic swap window. This architecture makes it one of the more radical implementations of a no-KYC exchange currently operating in 2026. The service focuses narrowly on Bitcoin and Monero, two assets chosen deliberately for their complementary privacy profiles—Bitcoin's liquidity and Monero's untraceability.
The trade-off for this minimalism is a sparse interface and limited customer support infrastructure. Users comfortable with command-line aesthetics and self-custody will find the workflow intuitive; newcomers expecting hand-holding or dispute resolution may struggle when edge cases arise.
Privacy & KYC
PegasusSwap achieves a genuine L0 KYC tier—no account tier exists because no accounts exist. This is not marketing language; the service literally cannot collect identity documents it never requests. The absence of email requirements and IP logging claims (unverified by external audit, but asserted in documentation) pushes its privacy score to 90/100, among the highest in the exchange category.
- Zero signup: No username, password, or recovery flow
- No JavaScript: Reduces browser fingerprinting attack surface dramatically
- Tor accessibility: Functional over onion routing without script exceptions
- AML risk scoring: Automated flagging exists; some users report frozen swaps triggered by algorithmic risk detection
The platform's Achilles heel is precisely this risk-scoring layer. While it enables regulatory deflection, community reports indicate false positives—clean funds from mining payouts or peer transfers triggering holds. This creates a paradox: the most private users (those sourcing coins outside KYC pipelines) face elevated scrutiny.
Supported assets & payments
PegasusSwap maintains a deliberately tight asset list: Monero (XMR) and Bitcoin (BTC) form the core pair. This concentration reflects ideological alignment rather than commercial expansion. Monero serves privacy-maximalists seeking untraceable settlement; Bitcoin provides liquidity and exit ramps. The absence of stablecoins, Ethereum tokens, or altcoins eliminates complexity but forces users seeking USDT or ERC-20 exposure to route through secondary services.
Swap mechanics follow the classic deposit-address model: generate a receive address, send funds, await confirmations, receive output. Speed varies by network congestion, with typical completion under ten minutes for Bitcoin and under five for Monero. The platform does not quote fixed rates indefinitely—market movement between deposit and confirmation can affect final amounts, a detail that generated complaints about "Float Rate" deviations during delayed settlements.
Security & custody
The custody model is non-custodial in principle but escrow-dependent in practice. Funds sit in temporary contract addresses during confirmation periods, not in user-controlled wallets. This distinction matters for threat modeling: PegasusSwap cannot run away with coins in a traditional exit scam, but technical failures or risk-score freezes can strand transactions mid-flow.
Community sentiment reveals a bimodal distribution. Satisfied users praise sub-thirty-minute USDC-to-XMR conversions and responsive support for minor issues. Dissatisfied users report frozen funds, unresponsive support during extended holds, and stuck transactions failing to register despite blockchain confirmation. The 83/100 trust score reflects this polarization—legitimacy is established, but operational reliability under stress remains inconsistent. Notably, multiple complaints reference social link rot (banned Reddit and Telegram channels), which amplifies anxiety during disputes.
Who it's for — verdict
PegasusSwap serves a specific archetype: the technically competent privacy advocate who prioritizes anonymity over convenience. Tor users, JavaScript-averse cypherpunks, and Monero enthusiasts find native alignment with the platform's design philosophy. The no-KYC, no-signup workflow eliminates the documentation dragnet that ensnares users on mainstream exchanges.
However, the service demands risk tolerance. Amounts exceeding low-threshold test transactions appear to trigger elevated scrutiny, and the AML heuristic remains opaque. Users should conduct small test swaps, verify onion mirror authenticity independently, and avoid time-sensitive conversions where rate float matters. For 2026, PegasusSwap earns its 9/10 overall score as a specialist tool—not a universal exchange, but an essential node in the privacy-preserving infrastructure stack.
PegasusSwap operates as a fully trustless exchange requiring zero account creation, enabling private Bitcoin and Monero swaps without JavaScript or identity verification.
- + True L0 KYC with no account creation whatsoever
- + Functional without JavaScript or over Tor
- + Fast typical settlement under 10 minutes
- + Strong Monero integration for privacy-final settlement
- + Minimal browser fingerprinting attack surface
- − AML risk scoring can freeze legitimate transactions
- − Limited asset support (BTC and XMR only)
- − Dated/broken social media links erode trust during issues
- − Float rate exposure during delayed confirmations

★ 3.6/5 · 43 ratingsThe swap went really well, i had a personal problem related to the exchange and the solved it pretty quickly
Extremely fast (~5'), working well. PLEASE update your social links in the footer, I almost had a heart attack seeing a banned reddit + TG link.
I only did one swap there, after 1 confirmation the status changed to frozen and I got worried. Support was good and replied fast, said that I received the tokens and showed the transaction on the chain. I was skeptical and it was just one transaction but it went well. Will update if anything changes in the future.
Good, but trigger AML too easily
I used pegasus several times for small amounts and recommended it to my friends but yesterday i sent 1 eth and they basically scammed me. My swap is stuck since more than 24 hours and support just won't respond to my tickets. Back then there was a live chat where they would respond really quick and solve issues fast but apparently they decided to remove this and also stop being reliable. Really disappointed.
FROZEN FUNDS This site is a scam, they froze my XMR to USDT. After holding my funds for 3 hours, support decided to become unresponsive and update my status to "Frozen" Do not use this exchange under any circumstance
Used 5 times to swap USDC -> XMR with absolutely zero issues, swap done in less than 30 mins every time. Can access over tor with js disabled too which is a huge plus.
Never thought I'd have to write one of these but here I am. I initiated a swap and sent a deposit transaction which appeared on the blockchain several minutes after the swap timer started, but the web interface claimed I never sent funds (now "OVERDUE"). PegasusSwap gives you only 30 minutes to send your deposit (from XMR). I waited patiently thinking it just needed. When the timer ticked to 0:00 the deposit had about 13 confirmations yet the site now read "Overdue", "try again". 1. PegasusSwap's support page advertises "typical first response < 4 min, 24/7 human support". I never received a reply when I first reached out on the live chat while the timer was still ticking - the chat window automatically closed about 90 minutes later. I also sent an e-mail. No response. The contact form on their website gives "Server error" every time. I will not be using Telegram for obvious privacy concerns. 2. A couple hours later I tried the live chat again. Finally someone responded: "What is your swap ID". I supplied it. Thirty minutes passed with no reply. After I asked again: "Sorry, I will take a look now". And then, no futher reply. "Please just complete the swap" I told them. 3. Hours later I asked a third time, and this time a chat agent answered within 2 minutes: "Hey" "Provide please your swap id" they told me. I gave it again, and again I got no response for another 90 minutes until the window closed. I sent followups in the same chat, but none were answered. 4. 2 hours later I reached out for the 4th time. No response at all. And yes, I sent the funds to the correct address. It's monero but there are payment proofs too. It has now been 16 hours since the swap was initiated. The web page still says "Overdue" with four red crosses, and I still have not received anything. The e-mail I sent from the beginning was never answered. Especially frustrating was seeing their social media retweet while I was not given meaningful support. I would appreciate a resolution.
Something about my transactions triggered a "Risk score" that caused my transactions to hang after receiving funds. The first transaction, a crypto swap BTC-->Ether completed after I contacted customer support. The second one, they had to issue a refund. Neither went smooth. But thier live customer support was great. Friendly and responsive.
LTC->USDT (erc20) exchange is stuck, doesn't register despite the fact that I sent it to the correct address and it has 6+ confirmations. pegasusswap always worked for me idk why it randomly fucked up now. doesn't even highlight "network confirmations" nice Provided exchange ID below
Used their service and it went through. Sum was 3000$ no issues As advised I did free AML check, they said it had 60% risk (even though these funds were ONLY from major exchange) but exchange was completed so I can't complain. Would use again
App is buggy but the service works and funds get through. The web app kept saying it didn't receive my payment, except they did process the swap and received the coin I bought in my wallet. The app finally resolved its state 15 minutes too late though
Fast exchange without any problems. This is how all exchange services should be. Thank you, Pegasus.
I received my funds 6 hours late due to technical issues. Besides the delay they also didn't keep their word on the "Float Rate" so because my funds arrived 6 hours after my deposit, they still send me the amount that was supposed to arrive 6 hours ago costing me 10% due to price fluctuations.
Transaction froze after sending funds, site showed 7/7 confirmations. Transaction had 150+. Contacted support by email, they responded within 30 mins and sorted it. Might wait a while before trying them again in the future, promising exchange though & no KYC
I've used it before, but it seems that now the process isn't automatic; it requires manual selection of values. I just did a test transaction of 0.002 BTC to XMR and it completed smoothly. However, I then did one of 0.01 BTC to XMR and it showed as OVERDUE, even though it had already been confirmed on the blockchain. The same or similar problems are being reported both on Telegram and here in the comments. Be very careful when using this exchange. My funds were processed normally by ChangeNow, which is more rigorous, but in a place that claims to be anonymous and free of KYC, etc., it's more bureaucratic and expensive than platforms that can block funds :( Furthermore, the support is not responsive, neither on Telegram nor on the website's chat.
Today I did another conversion with Pegasus. I sent a stablecoin from a CEX to Pegasus in exchange for XMR. This time i used a slightly larger amount. Pleased to report that there were no issues, and the total commission including the CEX fee and the Pegasus fee was all in all <1.5%. I consider this very reasonable and therefore i can recommend the service. Pegasus still have a way to go to compete with certain other conversion services (one other one in particular which is very cheap) but i see that Pegasus is a pretty good system and already more than a good backup. If they manage to reduce their fees further I believe they can become a major player. Keep up the good work, Pegasus team.
Awful scammers. Not received my 2.2 XMR. Support just fooling me like they've sent, but they even can't provide any info to decode hash. Don't use it
To test the waters, I first attempted to swap around $20 worth of Ethereum: no issues, smooth sailing! Second one, worth $170, was however stuck due to "overdue" payment, even though the transaction itself was confirmed on the blockchain. Scary! I then contacted support, stated my issue WITHOUT berating the agent, whom later processed the swap after a few minutes. Slick interface, great support, but a tad bit nerve-racking seeing the screen turn red.
BTC to XMR went smooth and quick. 10/10
They simply got my 5.5 XMR (around $2k) and disappeared with my money. I didn't received any transaction, contacted support, guy told me the system has problems, and disappeared. Don't know if I will ever see this money again.
Warning: They are selective scammers. My first 2 trades were completed successfully but then I sent a third larger transaction and it got stuck despite being confirmed on the blockchain. I provided a refund address but I never received a refund, they just stole my money.
9% fee for fixed rate ltc to xmr
actual real swap platform. not some nonsense p2p platform that never has any liquid or orders up. handled my low aml score tether (tradeogre) with 0 issues.
btc-> xmr went smooth and fast. thanks!
First time trying the service and so far not too great but hoping support comes through and would update my review to be more positive. Initiated a swap from BTC to XMR and needed to RBF the BTC transaction due to fees dramatically going up. Swap system most likely couldn't pick up the new transaction even though wallet is funded for the specified amount. Support options limited and I won't sign up for Telegram for privacy reasons, reached out via support form and email but no response as of many hours now which seems like to me no urgency by support. Will update once XMR comes through or support reaches out.
swap was eth-xmr, speed goin crazy , will use it guys xD
I used PegasusSwap to trade for Tari without KYC. The transaction page experienced a glitch that delayed processing, but the support team responded promptly and helped. Overall, it was a good experience.
My 37 XMR has been stuck on this exchange for almost two weeks, and they still haven't resolved the issue. I’m really losing hope. They always say they are waiting for their LP to respond and nothing else. I’m feeling very disappointed after using this service.
