Overview

Swapuz positions itself as a versatile cryptocurrency exchange bridging DeFi, CeFi, and Web3 connectivity. The platform advertises access to more than 1,500 digital assets and emphasizes that users can begin swapping without creating an account. For privacy-conscious traders, this sounds appealing at first glance—especially given the platform's explicit support for Monero and Bitcoin, two coins frequently favored by users who prioritize financial anonymity. However, NoKYC Directory's evaluation paints a starkly different picture: an overall score of just 4/10, a privacy score of 32/100, and a trust score of 62/100 suggest significant gaps between marketing promises and operational reality.

The service operates in the crowded instant-exchange niche, competing with established no-KYC alternatives that offer genuinely anonymous swaps without threshold-based identity verification. While Swapuz does deliver on certain basics—fast execution, broad asset selection, and a streamlined interface—its structural approach to compliance creates friction that many privacy-focused users will find unacceptable.

Privacy & KYC

Swapuz falls into our L3 classification: tiered KYC triggered above specific thresholds. This is not a no-KYC service in any meaningful sense. Users may complete small swaps without identity verification, but larger transactions—exact thresholds are not publicly specified—activate mandatory document submission. Community reports confirm this pattern: one user described a protracted, piecemeal KYC process spanning multiple weeks, with documents requested incrementally rather than disclosed upfront. This opacity is a hallmark of compliance-first exchanges that prioritize regulatory risk mitigation over user transparency.

  • KYC tier: L3 — tiered, threshold-triggered identity verification
  • Email requirement: No mandatory email for basic swaps
  • IP logging: Confirmed
  • Privacy score: 32/100 — among the lowest rated in our exchange directory

The IP logging policy alone undermines claims of anonymity. Combined with tiered KYC, Swapuz creates a data trail that sophisticated users will recognize as incompatible with genuine privacy preservation. For users seeking anonymous or no-KYC Bitcoin and Monero exchanges, this architecture presents unacceptable exposure.

Supported assets & payments

Swapuz's standout feature is its expansive catalog: 1,500+ supported cryptocurrencies spanning major Layer-1 assets, DeFi tokens, and privacy coins. Bitcoin and Monero headline the offering, with the latter particularly significant given Monero's ring-signature privacy and Swapuz's marketing toward anonymity-seeking users. The platform integrates both centralized and decentralized liquidity sources, theoretically improving price execution across diverse trading pairs.

However, breadth does not compensate for structural privacy deficiencies. Users swapping Monero specifically—often chosen precisely for its unlinkability—may inadvertently compromise that advantage if subsequent transactions trigger KYC and create associable records. The no-signup entry point simplifies initial access, but it functions more as user-experience optimization than privacy protection.

Security & custody

Swapuz operates as a non-custodial exchange for the swap execution itself—users retain control of funds until the trade initiates—but this distinction matters less than it appears. The platform's custody model during active swaps and its data retention practices introduce counterparty risk that pure non-custodial alternatives avoid. With a trust score of 62/100, Swapuz sits in precarious territory: functional enough for routine use, yet flagged by external watchdogs.

Community sentiment reveals polarized experiences. Numerous users report satisfactory execution for BTC-XMR swaps, with transactions completing within two block confirmations and support responding promptly to inquiries. Several reviewers specifically praise handling of substantial XMR volumes—200-300 Monero swaps processed without complication. Yet these positive signals coexist with serious warnings: at least two independent scam-tracking platforms have flagged Swapuz, and the threshold-KYC model creates documented cases of fund access denial during prolonged verification delays.

The discrepancy between glowing five-star reviews and fraud warnings warrants caution. Pattern analysis suggests possible review inflation, a common issue in exchange ecosystems where referral incentives distort authentic feedback.

Who it's for — verdict

Swapuz serves a narrow, specific user profile: traders who value asset variety and swap speed over genuine anonymity, and who operate exclusively below KYC-triggering thresholds. For this group, the no-signup onboarding and broad coin selection offer legitimate convenience. The platform's DeFi/CeFi hybrid architecture may appeal to users seeking single-interface access to diverse liquidity sources.

For the NoKYC Directory core audience—users explicitly seeking anonymous, no-KYC cryptocurrency exchanges—Swapuz fails fundamental criteria. The 32/100 privacy score reflects threshold-based identity stripping, IP logging, and opaque compliance workflows. Users swapping Monero specifically should recognize the irony: employing privacy-preserving currency through a surveillance-capable intermediary neutralizes core protections.

Our 2026 assessment: usable for small, occasional swaps where convenience outweighs privacy requirements; unsuitable for systematic anonymity preservation or volume trading. Competitors offering fixed, transparent no-KYC policies with superior privacy scores represent safer choices for identity-sensitive users.

Community summary

Swapuz markets itself as a secure, anonymous exchange with over 1,500 assets and no signup required, but its L3 tiered KYC policy and rock-bottom privacy score make it a questionable choice for users seeking genuine anonymity.

Pros
  • + No account registration required for basic swaps
  • + Extensive selection of 1,500+ supported cryptocurrencies
  • + Bitcoin and Monero explicitly supported
  • + Generally fast transaction execution based on user reports

Cons
  • Tiered L3 KYC policy triggers identity verification at unspecified thresholds
  • Abysmal 32/100 privacy score with confirmed IP logging

  • Prolonged, opaque KYC process documented in user complaints
  • Data retention practices undermine anonymity claims for privacy-coin users

I’ve been using Swapuz for six months, and it has proven to be a top-tier exchange. Swaps are fast, the process is well-organized, and I’ve never had any serious issues. Compared to other platforms I’ve used, Swapuz performs noticeably better.

Been using Swapuz for about a month, and the service has already impressed me. Exchanges are processed quickly, everything works smoothly, and the quality is consistently high. After trying several other exchangers, this one clearly stands out as the most reliable.

Service required extensive KYC, but the process was delayed multiple times over several weeks. Documents were requested step by step instead of upfront, creating unnecessary delays. No clear timeline or written justification was provided for holding the funds. Users should be cautious regarding transparency and refund timelines.

Completed several exchanges on Swapuz and the overall experience has been very smooth. Most swaps were processed quickly, with clear details shown upfront and no surprises at the end. On one occasion there was a short delay due to network congestion, but support explained the reason clearly and remained in touch until everything was finalized. Overall, the service feels reliable, transparent, and well-managed.

I don't know how reliable the reviews here are, but Swapuz has already been flagged as a scam by at least two websites. https://monerica.com/exchanges/non-kyc-exchanges/swapuz https://xenaps.com/service/detail/swapuz/

Used Swapuz multiple times — the first five exchanges were completed quickly and without any issues. One exchange later took almost two hours, but it turned out the delay was caused by blockchain network problems, not the platform itself. After contacting support, everything was explained clearly, which helped put the situation into perspective. The last three exchanges were completed within 10–15 minutes, even with amounts over 50k. Based on this experience, it’s better to check with support before jumping to conclusions if a delay happens — they’re responsive and transparent about what’s going on.

During one of my exchanges on Swapuz, I paused the process because I wasn’t certain about the final details. I reached out to support for clarification before proceeding, and they explained everything in a clear and patient way. After that, I finished the exchange with confidence, and it went through without any issues.

I used Swapuz for an exchange while dealing with unstable network conditions on my side. I was worried the transaction might fail, so I contacted support to clarify what would happen in such a case. They explained the process clearly and kept an eye on the exchange until it was completed successfully. Everything ended well, which left a very positive impression.

I was exchanging BTC to ETH on Swapuz and didn't notice that I copied the wrong ETH address before confirming the swap. When I saw the problem, I reached out to support. They checked carefully the transaction, guided me through the verification steps, and helped correct the destination. The issue was resolved without any loss, which was a huge relief. This showed me that Swapuz takes user support seriously and doesn't leave clients alone with problems.

I once started an exchange on Swapuz and realized halfway through that I had misunderstood one of the steps. I contacted support expecting a generic reply, but instead received clear guidance tailored to my situation. They helped me complete the exchange correctly, and everything was resolved without stress. This level of support made the platform feel very user-oriented.

I've been using Swapuz for quite a while now, and overall my experience has been very positive. I've completed multiple exchanges on the platform, and each one has been handled smoothly and professionally. The process is straightforward, the interface is easy to navigate, and the information shown before the swap always matches the final result. The exchange lasted almost an hour and the rate dropped significantly, but they exchanged at the requested rate. It wasn't particularly fast, but overall it's a good exchange service.

Hello, support! I fulfilled all the exchanger's requirements (KYC), but I ended up waiting over a week the first time, then another week the second time, and now they're asking me to wait a third time because they're requesting documents one by one, even though I could have done it all at once. This is unethical, to say the least. I'm wasting time and resources that could have been put to better use instead of waiting. Please intervene and ask the exchanger, citing specific points in their AML KYC policy, to provide a response regarding the reasons for stopping the exchange, confirming their statements, and the rule that allows them to deliberately delay the refund process. Thank you! I hope this issue is resolved promptly!

They are a Whitebit reseller, and their claim of Own Liquity is false. Do not believe it. It took nearly a week for me to receive my XMR, so I wouldn’t recommend using their service.

on screen it was stated, 6.087901 XMR this is what i will get but on my xmr wallet i got 6.099 xmr. i asked support and they said to me ‘Hi! this happened because the liquidity provider charges 0.1% of the withdrawal amount in addition to the 0.0005 fee for withdrawing coins. ‘ hidden fees and avoid using, you will not get what they promised on screen.

Multiple times before, even after they checked my coins and guaranteed no issues, they dinged me 5-10% extra on the fees. Their explanation: ' we just said you wouldn't need to KYC, we never guaranteed any rates and your coins were tainted once we received them. ' So this time I had them check my coins again and I also had them guarantee no further fees. But guess what? The order was frozen for KYC and now I've just lost several thousands of dollars because no way am I trusting them with my PII given their trail of dishonesty. I feel stupid for having used the site all after the 2 previous bad experiences with them.

I want to mention that Swapuz has a poor reputation outside of Bitcointalk, with many negative reviews on forums and aggregator sites excluding Trustpilot, where could be mostly positive reviews appear to be paid content. The platform likely relies on other third-party centralized exchanges, which means your transactions could be routed through multiple CEX services. For these issues, I would not use their service to exchange my coins.

Never been asked for any KYC. Small orders under $2000 were processed quickly. However, orders over $10000 had a couple of hours delay. One time, they even refused to complete my order and returned the money back. I guess this happens because of issues with matching your order (like XMR to BTC) with a counter-directed one (BTC to XMR).
